About Ruthie's Creative Necktie Necklaces

After more than 45 years as a healthcare professional, I retired — but not without a plan. I spent two years preparing for this next chapter, determined to keep my body, mind, and spirit thriving. Then life, as it often does, had other ideas.

Just before retirement, I underwent knee replacement surgery on both knees. The recovery forced me to slow down and reimagine what was possible. I turned to crocheting, and for a while, it was the perfect creative outlet — until debilitating pain in my hands, wrists, and shoulders brought that chapter to a close as well.

Then one day, scrolling through Facebook, I discovered two young women sharing their passion for making necktie necklaces. Something clicked. I caught the crafting bug all over again — and this time, it was different. Creating these beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces brought me pure joy, and best of all, no pain.

And just like that, Ruthie's Creative Necktie Necklace Collections was born — a collection of handcrafted statement jewelry made from upcycled silk ties, each piece as unique as the woman who wears it.
